Richard Austin: Hallowed Cricket Grounds to the Gutters of Kingston

There are rags to riches stories and then there are those that go in the opposite direction. This is the story of Richard Austin, once called the ‘right-handed Gary Sobers’ and one of the most naturally talented sportspersons to have come out of Jamaica. A favorite amongst teammates and opponents alike, he was one of the cricketers who lost their international careers by playing in apartheid South Africa on a rebel tour.
